The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Trying to restart my blog after some rime off mainly to having started a new job and recovering from a stroke that occurred 2 weeks after starting the job.  I'm home still recovering and reading as much as I can, so reviving   this blog is actually good therapy

I'm currently reading The Good Luck Sister by Jill Shalvis book 1.5 in the Wildstone series.  It's a short novella, which I think I will finish by the end of the month.

Next, I will be probably reading. The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan.  Surprisingly, I never read it back when ir came out, I was in college and wasn't interested in it.

I finished several books that I need to review and since the book I'm currently reading is a short one, I better get to it. Cowboy Tough is an romance that I really need to review, since I got it as an ARC on NetGalley and it's by one of my favorite authors.  It comes out next week on the 4th.  The Fierce 44 was an audiobook that I listened to, It is more for middle graders to introduce them to the many important Black -Americans

My Least Favorite Books of 2019

Prairie Fires: The American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder

Although I gave this 2 stars way back when I read it, I should have given it only 1 star.  It is way too long and boring as can be..  A good part of the story is about Laura's daughter, Rose Wilder Lane, who is a very unlikeable person.  If you liked the Little House book when you were young,  I wouldn't recommend this book in the least.  I wish I DNF'd it.

It's In His Heart (Red River Valley, #1)

Another very unlikable book.  Unpleasant characters, undeveloped plot, and not the least bit romantic, unless you just want the characters to have sex like rabbits with no real story.

Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith

I'e read quite a few books about Mormon Fundamentalists, but this one was just so boring.

Educated

Now here I seem to waiver from popular opinion, but then there were quite a few people whose reviews mirrored mine. this ws so unenjoysble and unbelievable.. Totally overhyped. This was the last book that I finished this year in 2019 and like the book, the year I say good riddabce to!

My Favorite Books of 2019

These were the books that I read in 2019, not necessarily ones that were published in 2019, although a few of them were published last year. These re not necessarily in any particular order.

The High Tide Club

I went into this book expecting a beachy read, but it is much more it is contemporary with  historical mixed in along with an interesting mystery.  I absolutely loved it.  This was the first book I read by Mary Kay Andrews.  I read another by her later in the year, but unfortunately was not quite as enamored by it, but I won't give up on the author yet.

Daughter of Moloka'i

This was a 2019 release and a sequel to the 2003 release of Moloka'i by Alan Brennert.  I read the first book back in 2006 and loved it and once I heard a sequel was coming out was super excited to read it and even more do to receive an ARC on NetGalley.  I loved the book and want to read the author's other historical fiction.

I love this author and this is the second book in her Sweetwater Springs series. I would so want to live in this town if it existed.  I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Snowfall on Cedar Trail, plus she has another book coming out 2/25

41150459

Another favorite author and the 2nd book in the McBrides of Texas. A sequel will be coming out 2/25. This is also #16 in Emily March's Eternity Spring series.  The cover also is especially pretty.

Dad Is Fat

I had to add this one. It was an audiobook that I listened to for a second time.  If you are a parent or have been one, this book is a must listen!  This was just as funny the second time around.
